An Yingge Family Adventure in Photos | Taipei Family Photographer

One of my favorite things about being a documentary family photographer in Taipei is that I get to capture stories in motion, stories of adventure and fun Taiwan excursions. Families that want traditional outdoor portraits with a pretty background tend to look elsewhere (my skills definitely don’t lie in this area), and the families that I do hear from are ones who want dynamic photos, easily overlooked moments, and perhaps a sprinkling of chaos that’s inevitable with an outdoor adventure with kids. I LIVE for documenting these kinds of stories. The uphill battle of getting everyone out the door, the moments in transit on the MRT or train, even a kid melting down because they’re hangry—these all work together to tell a complete story of an adventure. More importantly, they’re the texture of family life. They’re what you’ll miss when your kids are older and things calm down (ask me how I know).

Below is a sampling of photos from a recent adventure with a family to Yingge. I couldn’t have asked for a more interesting and fun story to document! If you’re interested in having me document your own family adventure in Taiwan, feel free to check out the documentary family photography section on my site. No outing is too ambitious!
