Documentary Photography Sessions

Our phones may be filled with a thousand snapshots, but rarely do we have high-quality photos of the moments that matter most to us.

Bathtime, making meals, and snuggles in bed—these are the quiet moments that simply get lost in the blur of busy days. I come to your home and see the beauty in your everyday life. I capture precious moments before they disappear and I preserve them so that you’ll be able to look back on them forever.

  • A little girl runs around her apartment in Taipei, Taiwan with her small dog.

    A Glimpse (2 hours)

The perfect amount of time to capture a slice of everyday life! We can just hang out at home or also go on a short outing in the neighborhood.

Includes a private online gallery where you’ll be able to download everything in both high-resolution and web-size, and 1 set of 4x6 prints.

  • A dad feeds his baby daughter a bottle in their apartment in Taipei, Taiwan.

    A Longer Look (4 hours)

Documentary photography shines when I have more time to tell your family story. This longer session is the perfect amount of time!

Includes a private online gallery where you’ll be able to download everything in both high-resolution and web-size, and 1 set of 4x6 prints.

  • Two little boys sit on the floor of Taipei Main Station in Taiwan as a crowd rushes around them.

    Vacation Sessions

Is your family visiting Taiwan? Is your current “home” base a hotel with a Pack n’ Play and clothes thrown all over the place? (Yes, I’ve been there.)

A documentary family photography session can absolutely take place in a hotel room or while sightseeing around town. There will be moments worth remembering anywhere that you’re all together!

I can travel anywhere in Taiwan or Asia for a day or two as your personal family documentarian.

Includes a private online gallery where you’ll be able to download everything in both high-resolution and web-size.

  • A baby boy's foot sticks out from his swing, which is by a window in an apartment in Taipei, Taiwan.

    Newborn Sessions

My documentary newborn sessions are a little different from a typical family session in that there’s no set time limit. The last thing a new parent needs is to worry about their precious photography time when the baby might sleep longer than usual or have a diaper blow-out.

Think of me as a friend who’s just coming to hang out with their camera for a couple of hours.

Around 1 month old is a good time for a documentary newborn session.

Includes a private online gallery where you’ll be able to download everything in both high-resolution and web-size, and 1 set of 4x6 prints.

  • A little boy looks through a window screen, his face is pressed against it.

    Day in the Life

Day in the Life sessions last from morning until bedtime. This session is for people who want the complete picture; there is no better way to tell the story of a typical day for your family during this season of your lives. For DITL sessions, I can travel anywhere in Taiwan or Asia.

Includes a private online gallery where you can download images in both high-resolution and web-size, and a hardcover photobook.

  • To men are about to clink champagne glasses at an event at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan.

    Events

My documentary-style photography is perfect for capturing the entire story of an event from beginning to end. My goal for documenting events is always to communicate what it felt like to be there, not just what it looked like.

Includes a private online gallery where you’ll be able to download everything in both high-resolution and web-size.
